Champ de Mars, Paris

Eiffel Tower Originally intended to be located in Barcelona, but Spain rejected the idea.  Now the iconic landmark which stood as the tallest man-made structure for 41 yrs is valued at over €400,000,000,000. Which is six times more than Rome's Colosseum of €91,000,000,000, and the Tower of London at 70,000,000,000.   No wonder why Montreal made a secret agreement between Charles de Gaulle and Montreal's mayor and was nearly moved there in 1960.  The company that managed the Tower vetoed the arrangement in 1967 for the transfer for the Universal Exhibition in Canada.
