La Cambe, Lower Normandy

German War Cemetery, D-Day WWII.  The centre piece is a large tumulus, with two statues situated underneath both sides of a large dark cross.  The mound is a mass grave containing the resting place of 207 unknown body parts and 89 identified German soldiers.  The tumulus is surrounded by 49 grave fields with up to 400 graves each.  There is total of 21,222 graves.
